A taxi passenger has appeared at Exeter Crown Court accused of arming himself with two knives in a dispute over a £25.10 fare.
Austin Hines allegedly produced the knives from his home in South Molton during a row over the fare with a driver from South Molton Taxis on October 30.
Hines, 36, of Oakwood Court, South Molton, is charged with making off without paying the taxi fare, threatening behaviour and having two knives in a public place.
